Mixed Media

In this section, I will be posting my forays into mixed media.  I love experimenting!  I have incorporated many of these techniques into my art quilts. They provide wonderful texture and depth.  I do a lot of work with Angelina fibers and films, Tyvek, Lutradur, silk fibers, bamboo fibers, wool fibers and of course  dyes and paints of all kinds.  Believe it or not, even “Fun Foam” has found its way into a couple of art quilts!  Most of my art quilts have painted details in one form or another.  Have you played with knitted metal mesh?  I have  and it’s fabulous!  So don’t overlook those art and craft supplies you have in the closet.
